In practice, they outlined the dimensions of the corridor and the new partition between the rooms." "During the demolition phase we discovered a number of pillars that we did not know existed, and since these were not planned for dismantling and reinforcement, we chose to change the plans slightly and be flexible where necessary. For this purpose, we planned a full, bright and spacious living environment and, as mentioned, two private areas, one for parents and the other for children. It was also important for us to create a functional kitchen and a pleasant and spacious public space that would 'break' the rectangular structure of the house. The concept that led the process now was the essential need to create a parent unit completely separate from the children with a private bathroom for them. "Originally, the house was crossed by a long, narrow corridor with lowered air conditioning, which connected the different bedrooms and from there was an exit to the shared bathroom. "From a house made entirely of cast concrete and saturated with columns that were discovered during the demolition phase, we designed a house that includes a public space full of life and soul and two private areas - one for parents and the other for children." "They planned a 'small' renovation but very quickly chose a much broader renovation that left no trace of the old house except for the shell that remained intact," recalls interior designer Maayan Rahav, who is in charge of the project. Over the years, the family shared one bathroom, the kitchen and public space naturally aged and began to show their marks, the floor of the house was already broken in several places, and a lot of mold was discovered in the walls. Since then, she has served in the army, studied, married, and given birth to two children now in their teens.
